Status Report

March 2022

First, a Thank You

We paused the campaign during the pandemic, specifically the past two years. At some point over the past four years, you gave to our Major Gifts Campaign. Before we restart the Major Gifts Campaign, we want to provide you with a status report on the good work your giving enabled. Most of all, we praise God for you and celebrate all the ways the Lord has multiplied your gifts to serve the children, youth, families, and churches here and beyond. There is a growing need for Jesus in this world and a growing need for our Christ-centered programs and retreat center in Kansas City. We’re honored and excited to fill this need.

Our Donors Are ACTIVE

While our major gifts campaign was on vacation, our donors were not. In this report, we share the vast campaign progress made possible by our community’s generosity and our Lord’s miraculous movement.

$580,000

So far in Facility improvements and upgrades since the start of the campaign.

Enabled by

Major Gift Donations (individuals & churches), In-Kind Donations, Giving Circle, Eagle Scouts Projects, Estate Gifts, and Foundation Grants.

A Few Words

“For I am about to do something new

See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

As the pandemic hit in 2020 we focused our financial resources on the unknown of the future and keeping Heartland open. We thank God for calling our community to support us during the past two years.

We thank God for the (near) exit of this season and the ability to be a sanctuary to people in need again. Finally,

We thank God for the lessons and wisdom gained during this time and the sovereign power of our Creator.

The Lord continues to create something new, again and again, at Heartland and in the people who walk(ed) these lands.

We do not pretend that while we see the light at the end of this tunnel, others do not. We pray the Lord continues to pave the way for people still in the wilderness.
